How do you clean the gutters?
Some gutters are best cleaned with our Gutter Vac, while others are better reached by hand. We are very experienced at what we do and will make a decision on site. Occasionally our customers have a preference, which we are happy to accomodate.
What will it cost me?
The big question! Our prices start at $199 for a single storey home without gutter guard. We are always happy to visit and give an exact quote before you decide if we are the best fit for your property.
Do your employees have police checks?
Absolutely. We value your safety and take your trust in us seriously. All our employees have police checks and understand our company values of respect, integrity and professionalism.
Do I need to be home?
Nope. Unless you prefer to be there, then we can work with you to find the best time that works for you and our team.
How often do my gutters need cleaning?
The answer to this will depend on a couple of things. If your property has lots of surrounding trees dropping leaves in your gutters, you may like them cleaned every six months. However, if you live in a residential area without much debris falling into gutters, once a year or every 18 months may be plenty. We can advise you on this after your first clean.
How long does it take to clean the gutters?
We aim for maximum efficiency while ensuring an excellent clean. As a guide, a gutter clean without gutter guard on a standard three bedroom home can take between one to three hours. Larger homes and those with gutter guard will take longer.
Why is gutter cleaning important?
Blocked gutters can lead to leaks and damage to your roof and other parts of your home. Heavier debris such as dirt or sticks falling from nearby trees can collect in the gutter and put strain on the structure, leading to breakage. Regular gutter cleaning means the gutters can do what they are designed for and give you peace of mind that they are functioning effectively. Clean gutters also prevent mould growth and can help stop pest infestations. By removing debris that attracts pests like ants and rodents, there is a reduced chance of them moving into your home.
And finally, if you live in a bushfire risk area, gutter cleaning is an important part of your seasonal bushfire plan. Risks to homes in bushfire prone areas are at increased risk when windborne embers ignite debris in the gutters. Flames can quickly spread to combustible parts of the roof such as rafters, eaves and roof battens.
What if my downpipes are blocked?
We flush blocked downpipes with a hose, leaving them clear.
